A community helping children and their families to rekindle with hope, courage and joy
The mission of NAM: To encourage and facilitate the donation of birthdays as a method of funding the Ronald McDonald House Pasadena.
About NAM: Founded by high school students from the San Gabriel Valley in 2021, Not About Me strives to establish stable funds for the Ronald McDonald House Pasadena through birthday fundraisers, a simple and straightforward method of fundraising. The House is a “home away from home” for critically ill children actively receiving treatment from hospitals. Since its inception in the Summer of 2021, Not About Me has already raised over $1500 for the House, all of which is used to help run the facility.

Testimony
“The House provided us with clothing, toiletries, meals, everything we needed to feel at home,” Griselda Zapata, mother of Alexa.Just three years old, Alexa fell into a fire on her family’s ranch in Mexico. The left side of her face and her hair were burned; her body was covered in black ash. She and her mother first visited a hospital just hours away from their home, but the doctors there had been unable to help her. The same happened at an even larger hospital in Mexica.Eventually, they found Shriners for Children Medical Center, a hospital in Pasadena, California, that was able to treat Alexa. Traveling amidst the pandemic to Shriners, Alexa and her mother were not only greeted with beneficial treatment, but also a welcoming home: the Ronald McDonald House.
